Devon County Council Training Courses

All DCT members can now register with Devon County Council to access courses that they are running.  DCT will pay for members to attend these courses but in order to book these you will need to go to this website and follow the instructions. Please be aware that even though DCT will pay for you to attend we will pass on any cancellation fees incurred if you cancel your place or do not attend - these charges vary depending on the course and who is running it - more details are on the on-line site.

We do not recommend that members access courses such as Supervision Skills or similar courses as these are very policy heavy and are targetted at public sector staff.  DCT will be running our own courses around these topics.

Please note that we cannot help with this system so please contact the Training Admin team at DCC for any assistance you may require.

Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty & Safeguarding Adults

There is a full programme of Safeguarding Adults Training, incorporating the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding. Places can be booked via the on-line booking system. The whole programme is also being updated, and will include an e-learning programme on basic awareness. Further information and a link to the booking system can be found here.

Please note that if you are based inside Torbay or Plymouth, the courses they run may be more relevent.

For more information you can contact Richard Rainbow on 01392 38 3388 or email him here
