Important Update!!
All DCT members can now register with Devon County Council to access courses that they are running. Due to the current financial constraints DCT will no longer be able to pay for members to attend these courses. Any costs incurred must be met by member organisations. Members who wish to book staff onto the DCC courses will need to go to this website and follow the instructions.
We do not recommend that members access courses such as Supervision Skills or similar courses as these are very policy heavy and are targetted at public sector staff. DCT will be running our own courses around these topics.
Please note that we cannot help with this system so please contact the Training Admin team at DCC for any assistance you may require.
There is a full programme of Safeguarding Adults Training, incorporating the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding. Places can be booked via the on-line booking system. The whole programme is also being updated, and will include an e-learning programme on basic awareness. Further information and a link to the booking system can be found here.
Please note that if you are based inside Torbay or Plymouth, the courses they run may be more relevant.
For more information you can contact Richard Rainbow on 01392 38 3388 or email him here
If you would like help with your NMDS survey, or have any questions, please contact the NMDS-SC project worker for Devon, Linda Prior, on 01752 242688 or by email at linda.prior@blueyonder.co.uk.
More information is available on the website; click here to create your account.
The Learning Gallery has now been reloacted to County Hall. The DCT Team will be managing it for the time being and so you can direct enquiries to lgallery@devon.gov.uk
The resources are free to borrow and you can do the whole thing online and by phone and post. Alternatively you can arrange to visit the Gallery if you prefer. You must be a member of the Gallery to use it, but this is free to DCT members. Currently the gallery is undergoing a complete stock take but this will not affect requests for resources. You can download an application form here
