This is the only first aid course approved by the Health and Safety Executive and is recommended for all organizations whose risk assessments determine that First Aiders are required. This 4-day course offers a basic curriculum in a range of first aid competencies needed in any workplace giving our learners the ability to administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty.

Act safely, promptly and effectively when an emergency occurs at work
: Carry out cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) promptly and effectively
: Care for a unconscious casualty and place in the recovery position
: Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding
: Administer first aid to a casualty who has been:
: Burned or scalded
: Is suffering from an injury to bones, muscles or joints
: Is suffering from shock

: Transport a casualty safely as required by the circumstances of the workplace

Workshop level: This course is aimed at staff that come into contact with patients / service users and members of the public, as part of their normal working activity.
The Conflict Resolution training is designed to assist frontline staff to deal effectively with incidents of potential violence or aggression. This foundation training will enable staff to recognise the warning signs of a potentially violent situation and take steps to prevent it from escalating. It will enable staff to recognise different aspects of conflict that they may encounter and to be able to understand and be aware of the different methods of resolving such conflicts.
The course will consist of a National Syllabus for the NHS in non-physical intervention techniques on managing and de-escalating potentially violent incidents within the work environment.
The Breakaway Skills training is designed to teach a set of physical skills, which will enable a person to escape from a wide variety of possible assaults against them.
The techniques are taught within a legal & ethical framework relevant to those working in the healthcare profession.
The techniques taught involve the minimum possible use of force, and which are designed to promote the safety of both the client / patient and member of staff.
